My puncture wound

This is my puncture wound I got during an adventure with the gals I used to Jazzercise with. We went to Yellowstone Lake over the 6th of September, went on a hike, and instead of turning around when we could go no further, we decided to continue to hike. We ended up going up and over. down & under fallen timber. We found an area we could get down along the shore line again. We decided to paint our faces with some of the charcoal from the downed trees. After I put face paint on all of us, I turned around and my pant leg got caught on a limb and I fell. Thus my hand went into the tree limb or stick and this is what happed to my hand. We put some pressure on it and continued on our way back to the boat, which was about 2.5 - 3 miles down further on the shore. I could not get stitches in my hand when I got back to town, because the wound was more than 6-8 hours old. 24 hours to be exact. So I will have a heck of a scar on my hand, but it will remind me of the fun we had that Saturday afternoon, and evening, and did we have fun that night. We were the talk of the dock the next morning!!!

Week 7

These are the two bedrooms upstairs.

This is the new laundry room.

Bill is standing in the new bathroom.

The new garage. Ready to be dried in and roofed on Monday the 22nd & Tuesday the 23rd. I asked Bill if he knew anybody we could get to do it, the roof that is!!!

And this is Bill standing in the door of the new garage looking out at the back yard.

Week 6

Well the second story is being framed in. The window to the left is the play room, and the window to the right is one of the two bedrooms upstairs.

When I came home after golf on the 2nd of September, they were putting the roof back on the frame. It was to cool. I ran into the house to get my camera to take pictures of this, and by the time I got my camera (approx 15 seconds) they had the roof lifted and set into place. It was crazy!!

They had to cut 4 holes in the roof to remove the roof and then reattach it to the new framing. What an art the operator of this crane has, and oh to make it more difficult the wind was blowing, but you couldn't tell it by his experience.

This is from the front of the house by the new garage. Just a different angle of the roof being put back in place.

Week #5 - The crew returned after 1 week off

After a week or two off the construction crew returned and took the roof off the house. I wasn't here during this, however it was strange to see that I had no roof over the garage anymore!!

As you can see the electrical cords for the entire house are hanging over the new beam. This will be the new family room. The laundry room and a new bathroom will also be on this level.

This is a view from the upstairs play room. Also, there will be a small bathroom, and Bill will finally have an office of his own. I'm so excited about this, as I can reclaim the kitchen table!!!!!

There will also be two additional bedrooms upstairs. You kids finally have a place to sleep!!!

This is the new garage. Big enough for the vehicle, oh yea that would be my vehicle!!! And then storage cabinets for Bill's tools and STUFF!
